i am a piggy. i don't even remember the last time i went for a run. my asics are rotting in the box. :( i have been eating so much of late i even dreamt of scallops and mussles soup last night that i drank up. last night before i slept i msg sj if we could go ikea to eat one day. i could easily eat a bowl of cereal at 5pm and then have a full dinner at 630. then after dinner i'd snack on a tao sa piah. and some fruits...and ice cream. then in the morning i'd eat nasi lemak. O_O my my my i am going to balllooonnnn.
speaking of ikea, sj and i went to ikea today to eat the apparently heavenly swedish meatballs with cranberry sauce. to my utter disappointment, they were normal tasting. :( i don't get why people go all the way there just to eat meatballs. sj had some sweet and sour fish thing which he didn't finish cos it was bad tasting as well. :( but ikea was a nice place to be. it's buy-random-stuff inducing. i bought kyna's and meelia's hostel warming present! which sounds quite lame if i tell you what it is. -.- i probably will buy a new self assembled book shelf soon and a set of desk drawers. YAY. interior design + carpentry (sortof) = fun. (:
yesterday the entire day was spent in school prepping for rag. it was super lagged initially cos we had to wait for ONE person who didn't arrive until like 2 hours later. but our OG got a cool part to build so it was quite fun. reminds me of the OM days of building stuff, sewing, sawing, gluing, thinking of ways to make do and improvise, and getting our hands dirty. my kinda thing. i wonder what happened to our OM vehicle...i think we left it under one of the staircases. :P it was fun to drive around. (: speaking of driving, today was the first time i drove since i got my license (-.- yes i know).
lotsa things happening this week i'm like jam packed with stuff i've got to do. thankfully i've got the school registration things pretty much under control save for the silly blood test results i've got to collect really soon. if all goes well and God allows, i'd be a (fat) matriculated med student in about 1 week's time!

Idiot(ic) Proof Blogspot
because blogspot is idiot proof, i have no idea how to alter the template such that my links on the sidebar open in a new window. i cannot do it via altering html (as i did with DLand) because all the html is in secret blogspot code that cannot be messed around with. :( basically this irks me because i have to repeatedly press Back to get back to my menu of links in order to browse blogs...or i could Right Click "Open in a New Window" repeatedly as well. if this doesn't irk anyone else who frequently uses my link menu then i will leave it as such. if i might significantly improve the welfare of people who use my menu then i will put in much effort into writing the html. do let me know.
university open houses were held over yesterday and today. rather surprisingly, NTU pulled off the best show with a brillant sense of structure and organization in the whole event. very cool gimmicks i might add, with boarding passes, cheap food and external vendors sellings goods at discounted prices. campus tours with tours guides, an endless pool of student ambassadors waiting to bring you around and more. NUS was rather lackluster i must say. maybe its because i was there last year and it was basically the same. coupled with the cramped venue that it was held at. i went for the medicine talk AGAIN (even though i was really reluctant to) and we bumped into zongyi and his special friend. SMU was the greatest disappointment! there was hardly anything to see there and because of the lack of signages i spent quite a while getting to the exact location of the exhibition (considering how the university spans across 2 MRT stations). i spent about 20minutes there talking to some accountancy fella with stef and wanted to leave. -.- haha so much for marketing students.
tomorrow i will be back at work. and with a PAY RAISE! not much, but still. i get to see the company cat again (: i am rather afraid of next week during which i will have to complete university applications, scholarship applications, certify my documents, and visit my uncle's clinic for job shadowing. may have free dinner too haha.
EDIT: HAH. Man conquers machine. no tagboard though, some error in the script. i'll stick with comments. thanks ryan.
